Bridge Clubs in North Yorkshire

Bridge Clubs

Bridge Clubs – A bridge club is a friendly and welcoming place where people meet to enjoy contract bridge, the popular four-player card game. Across Harrogate and the surrounding districts, bridge clubs bring together players of all ages and abilities for regular social and competitive games. Many clubs organise duplicate bridge sessions and tournaments, where players at different tables compete using the same card deals. They may also offer lessons, beginner sessions, and opportunities to improve, making bridge clubs a great way to learn the game, meet new people, and enjoy a sociable activity in the Harrogate district.

Harrogate & Districts UK Directory – Bridge Clubs

Wetherby Bridge Club is much more than a place to play cards. We’re a friendly, lively community where people come together to enjoy a brilliant mental challenge, make new friends, and keep learning. Bridge is a partnership game, combining strategy, concentration, communication, and a little nerve.

WBC offers something for everyone, whether you are a complete beginner, returning after a break, or play at a more competitive level. We offer regular daytime and evening sessions, social events, competitions, and opportunities for team play. We also run new beginners’ lessons starting each autumn, offering a relaxed way to learn in supportive settings. You’ll always find someone willing to explain next steps, help you find a partner, and make you feel at home.

WBC is proud of its special atmosphere—we are welcoming, inclusive, and well organised, while still ensuring bridge is enjoyable and sociable. Our volunteers, teachers, and tournament directors work hard to make sessions run smoothly and fairly.

For many members, bridge becomes more than a hobby. It’s a reason to socialise, keep the brain busy, and have fun as part of a warm local community.

We’re at 9b Crossley Street, Wetherby, LS22 6RT. For more information, visit http://www.wetherbybridgeclub.org or email us at mailto:info@wetherbybridgeclub.org
