Born in Leeds, Anita’s childhood amidst the lush countryside and fauna laid the foundation for her lifelong passion for artistry. Her keen eye for color, intricate detail, and design was honed during her tenure in the fashion industry, where she lent her talent to renowned brands like Burberry and Liberty’s London.

For the past 25 years, Anita has dedicated herself to her craft, with her works finding a home at The Dove Tree Art Gallery since its inception in 2011. Beyond the confines of her studio, Anita uses her art as a vehicle for social good, particularly during challenging times like the pandemic.

Anita’s philanthropic endeavors include an art installation for Yorkshire Cancer Research’s ‘put the boot into it’ campaign, featuring 191 stainless steel cut-out boots, and commissioned works for Continued Care, honoring frontline carers. Her collaborations extend to producing iconic Christmas cards for Yorkshire Air Ambulance, featuring the picturesque landscapes of Yorkshire.

An innovative approach to her craft led Anita to incorporate natural elements like fallen twigs, moss, and leaves dipped in acrylic paint into her paintings. This distinctive style caught the attention of The RHS Garden Harlow Carr, where she served as Artist-in-Residence, crafting a series of twelve monthly paintings.

Her artistic prowess has garnered widespread acclaim, earning her the title of the First Official Artist for the Tour de Yorkshire 2015. Notable commissions include a stainless-steel sculpture for the President of the UCI in 2019 and a striking 1.5-meter-wide sculpture of antique cutlery adorning the walls of Virgin Money Sheffield.
